The Muppet Show
I have always said that if I could get the all of the episodes of the Muppet Show on DVD I would do it…. Not that I ever looked for them, but well that is procrastination for you.
I said it the other night, and I happened to be in the company of somebody who had a few of the DVDs! Wow!! So I borrowed two from him, and then looked up the rest… I can get all 15 DVDs (45 episodes) for $150 from Time-Life so I am going to do it.
It will take a week or two to save up… and I have never before bought a DVD (rented… yes, recieved as gift… yes, bought… no) so this will be a first for me.

The En-chef-er-ize-er is a wonderful little program that takes standard input and translates it to “Mock-Sweedish.” Written by Jonathan Hagerman in the early 1990s, the program has halped millions of people send e-mails to friends, relatives, and co-workers in Mock Sweedish.

What are we doing???
What are we thinking… Why are we still in Iraq?? We went in and did what “needed” to be done, and now we should be out of there. We should turn over the temporary rule and reconstruction of Iraq to the UN or some other uninvolved third party. Don’t get me wrong, we still need to foot the bill, but it’s up to somebody else now.

Several years ago I started working on a distributive processing project called SETI @ Home. The SETI Project is the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence and SETI @ Home is a project that allows people at home to participate. To find out more head to their website, it is a pretty cool place. Anyway, I got a bit tired of the SETI @ Home project, so I have begun working on the distributed.net projects, particularly RC5-72. The progress is a bit quicker, and I really like the command line client that runs transparently in the background all of the time. I set up several CRON jobs to help better manage the client.
Backup Script
My script has run quite faithfully for the past 5 weks or so with no problems whatsoever…
